About Sphynx
Sphynx are medium sized semi-foreign/moderate cats. As with most cats, adult males are larger than females. Sphynx have sturdy boning, good muscle development and a bit of a firm belly as if they just finished a nice dinner. They have an open-eyed and intelligent expression with extra wrinkling on their head which some see as a worried or inquisitive look. Sphynx are extremely lovable, known to perform silly antics and can be downright clumsy in their attempts to be the center of attention. They have abundant energy and are mischievous, always wanting to be with you, on you or showing off for you. Sphynx seem to prefer human attention but enjoy the company of dogs and all other breeds of cats.

Grooming Information
Sphynx may appear easy to groom, since they are hairless...BUT this is far from the truth! The lack of hair on the sphynx cat consequently causes oil and grime to build up: leaving a slimy film in the ears, on the body, and on the nails. Habitual weekly grooming is the best way to combat this issue. Simply taking an hour weekly ( 10 minutes each day) to groom and up keep a sphinx's hygiene is crucial...AND simple. Below is a PDF document describing how and with what Shoshoni Cattery uses to groom our sphinx. A video is coming soon!
